In this photo the Easy Drive WC Push Pull hand control for brake and accelerator is fitted to a Volkswagen Polo on the left hand side of the steering.
The fitting on the left is not normally done for ergonomic reasons but is possible for specific needs.
The reason it is not popular is because of the requirement that the brake must be depressed before a gear can be engaged, and both these actions must be done on left hand side.
Look at the finish and the leather covering of the lever and how it blends with the vehicle's finish.
